Stripes meet Fair Isle: These socks feature alternating narrow stripes in two colors, with a small four-color pattern border adding a cheerful accent just above the heel. The heel and toe are knitted in a single color, framing the striped pattern beautifully. Since the second color is carried along on the inside, you are spared from having many loose ends. Perfect for anyone who loves a bit of color and wants to try their hand at a small Fair Isle pattern.

The knitting kit contains the original yarn specified in the pattern, Bio Shetland from BC Garn – GOTS-certified organic wool with the characteristic rustic Shetland feel, in the colors shown in the pattern.

Good to know: Colors C and D are only needed for the pattern border, so you will have plenty left over. You can use the leftovers to embellish other projects – for example, a second pair of socks with colorful accents, a striped hat, or small Fair Isle details on gloves.

Tension/Gauge: 34 stitches x 48 rounds = 10 x 10 cm (using 2.5 mm needle size) in stockinette stitch.
