The Axis Sweater Kid is knitted sideways in stripes of stockinette stitch, alternating between the knit side and the purl side as well as in colors. Begin by knitting the front, then the back, and finally the sleeves. The front and back are sewn together at the shoulder, then sewn into the sleeves.
The knitting kit contains an alternative to the original yarn specified in the pattern.
