The Moby Slipover Baby is worked from the top down in a textured and cable pattern. First, the back is worked. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are subsequently gathered at the front to form the front piece. The front and back pieces are placed on one needle under the armholes to form the body, which is then knitted straight down. The armholes and neckline are finished with ribbing.

First, knit a gauge swatch to determine the needle size you need for the correct gauge – this can vary depending on the yarn. Remember to wash your swatch before measuring, as the textured pattern may expand in the wash.
