The vest is knitted seamlessly from the top down. First, the collar is worked in the round, followed by short rows that simultaneously incorporate increases for the shoulders. Further shoulder increases are worked in the round until the yoke is complete and the shoulder stitches can be bound off. The front and back are then worked separately in rows. Under the arms, the work is joined again, and the body is continued in the round up to the side slits. Finally, for the side slits, the front and back are once again worked separately in rows.
The model in the photo was knitted in “ Alpaca Bouclé ” in medium brown (color 91) .
The following techniques are used in the instructions: left-leaning increase of a left and right stitch, right-leaning increase of a left and right stitch, left and right twisted stitch (through the back loop), knitting two stitches together through the back loop.
Gauge: 21 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4 mm needles) in stockinette stitch.
Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.
For this set you will need the following accessories:
- 3 mm knitting needle, (40 cm)
- 3.5 mm knitting needle (40 cm)
- 4 mm knitting needles (40, 60, 80 cm) or the needle size with which you achieve the gauge swatch
- Stitch markers
For sustainability reasons, these are NOT automatically included in the package.
