The model in the photo was in “ Double Sunday” in knitted in Scarlet red (color 4018).

The Scarlet Sweater is worked from the top down using lines of slipped stitches on the front and back, as well as along the inner sleeves. First, the upper part of the back is worked in rows, while the shoulders are shaped using short rows. Next, an I-cord edge is worked along the back cast-on edge, and stitches are picked up along this edge for the shoulders, which are worked separately in rows on a circular needle. The shoulder section is then joined to the front. The front and back are joined to form the body, which is worked in the round on a circular needle. The sleeves are worked from picked-up stitches around the armholes. Finally, stitches are picked up and worked around the neckline for a ribbed cuff.

Sizes: XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL)

The Scarlet Sweater should have approximately 25 cm of positive ease in the smaller sizes and a progressively smaller amount in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) fit a chest circumference of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The finished sweater measurements can be found on the cover. Note: These measurements are only valid if the gauge is maintained. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in size S has a chest circumference of 115 cm and, in the chosen example, would have a freedom of movement (positive ease) of 25 cm.

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

3 mm circular knitting needles (40, 60 and 80 and/or 100 cm), 2.5 mm circular knitting needles (40 and 80 cm), 2.5 and 3 mm double-pointed needles
