The Stockholm vest is knitted from the top down, first the back, then the shoulders and front, and finally the body. The shoulder shaping of the Stockholm vest is achieved using short rows, ensuring a perfect fit at the shoulders. Ribbed edges are knitted along the neckline and around the armholes and then bound off using the Italian method.

First, make a gauge swatch before you start knitting – an accurate gauge swatch is extremely important for shoulder width.

Size guide

The Stockholm pullover should allow for freedom of movement ( positive ease). The size should be approximately 6 cm larger than your bust measurement. Sizes (36), 38, and (40) fit a bust measurement of (85-90), 90-95, and (95-100) cm. Take your own measurements before you start knitting to ensure you've chosen the correct size. For example, if your bust measurement is 90 cm (or the widest part of your torso), you should choose size S, as the bust measurement in that size is 96 cm.

The Stockholm pullover is shaped with decreases at the torso. However, if your bust measurement isn't your widest point, you can skip these decreases.
