The Stockholm V-neck vest is knitted from the top down. First the back, then the shoulders, and finally the body. The shoulder shaping of the Stockholm V-neck vest is achieved using short rows, ensuring a perfect fit at the shoulders. Ribbed edges are then worked along the V-neck and around the armholes, bound off using the Italian method.

First, make a gauge swatch before you start knitting – an accurate gauge swatch is extremely important for shoulder width.

Size guide

The Stockholm V-neck pullover should allow for freedom of movement ( positive ease). The vest should be approximately 5 cm larger than your bust measurement (i.e., it should be 5 cm wider than your bust measurement). Take your own bust measurement, while the vest's bust measurement is indicated on the front of the pattern. Sizes (36), 38, and (40) correspond to a bust measurement of (85-90), 90-95, and (95-100). Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to ensure you have chosen the correct size. For example, if your bust measures 90 cm (or the widest part of your torso), you should choose size 36, as the bust measurement in that size is 95 cm. This will give you an extra 5 cm of ease.
