The brown Agnete cardigan is knitted in "Tynn Peer Gynt" in the color Brun melange (Fb. 2652).

The Agnete Cardigan is worked from the top down in a brioche stitch. First, a double-knit section is worked at the back of the neck, connected to the front bands. Stitches are picked up on this section, and the back is worked. Next, the right and left front pieces are worked. These three pieces are then joined together to form the body, which is worked in rows in a brioche stitch with double-knit bands. Buttonholes are worked along the front bands. Stitches are picked up around the armholes for the sleeves.

First, knit a gauge swatch to determine the correct needle size for you. Keep in mind that the gauge in the swatch (i.e., the number of rows per 10 cm) can vary depending on the yarn you choose. Most importantly, the gauge in the swatch (i.e., the number of stitches per 10 cm) must be correct.

Gauge: 19 stitches x 56 rows in brioche stitch on 3 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm (note that 56 rows in brioche stitch count as 28 knit stitches)

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL

The Agnete Cardigan should have 10-15 cm of positive ease relative to your bust measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL fit a bust measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The finished cardigan measurements can be found on the cover of the pattern. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust measurement (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A cardigan in size S has a bust measurement of 105 cm and would therefore have 15 cm of positive ease.

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

3 mm circular knitting needles (40, 60, 80 and/or 100 cm), 3 mm double-pointed needles, buttons ( Ø = 22-23 mm)
