The Barbara Balaclava is made from two strands of knitted with “Sunday” and “Tynn Silk Mohair”.

The Barbara Balaclava is worked in stockinette stitch from the top down. First, a square is worked at the top of the head. Then, stitches are picked up on both sides of the square, and short rows are worked to create a curve at the top of the hat. The balaclava is then worked straight down and joined under the chin. The neck is worked in stockinette stitch in the round and finished with a ribbed cuff. Finally, stitches are picked up and worked for a ribbed cuff around the face opening.

Fits a head circumference of: 54-56 (56-57) 57-59 cm

Width, lying flat: approx. 20 (21) 22 cm

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

3 mm circular knitting needles (40 and 80 cm), 2.5 mm circular knitting needles (40 cm), 2 mm circular knitting needles (40 cm)
