The Chantal Collar Cardigan is knit from the top down in a slip-stitch pattern. First, the base for the collar is worked in stockinette stitch in the round. Then, stitches are picked up along the fold line, and the collar is worked in double stitch in rows, taking shape with short rows and increases. The collar is then joined, and the stitches are divided into sections for the shoulders, front, and back, all of which are worked separately in rows and shaped with short rows.
Once completed, the front and back pieces are joined by casting on stitches for the armholes, and the body is then knitted straight in one piece. Stitches are picked up for the button bands, which are then worked individually in double knit, with buttonholes placed in pairs.
Finally, stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are knitted in the round, with short rows at the sleeve base, and which taper towards the cuffs.

The knitting kit includes an alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions.

The Chantal Collar Cardigan has a relaxed fit and is designed with approximately 15 cm of extra room; this is reduced in the larger sizes to ensure a more comfortable fit.
This means that the garment's dimensions will be approximately 15 cm larger than your actual chest measurement.

Gauge swatch: After washing and stretching:

26 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm in slip stitch pattern with needle size 4.5 mm.

26 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 3 mm needles.

28 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in 1x1 rib pattern with 3 mm needles.

52 sts x 64 rows = 10 x 10 cm in double knitting with 3 mm needles.

You can order additional balls of yarn separately.
You can simply send the unused balls of yarn back to us.
