The Cross Sweater is worked from the top down. A border of crosses is knitted along the yoke, the edges of the sleeves, and the bottom of the body. First, the upper part of the back is worked in rows, then the shoulders are worked separately in rows on a circular needle. These are joined at the center front to form the front. The front and back are then joined to form the body, which is worked in the round on a circular needle. Stitches are picked up around the armholes for the sleeves. Finally, the folded-over ribbing at the neckline is worked in strips from the picked-up stitches.

The model in the photo was in “ Peer Gynt” in the colors Almond Tweed (Fb 2512), Vinrød (Fb 4363), Poppy (Fb 4008) and Jolly blue (Fb 6046).

The Cross Sweater should have approximately 25 cm of positive ease in the smallest sizes, decreasing in size with size. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) fit a chest measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. Finished sweater measurements are shown on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements are only valid if the gauge is maintained. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) is 95 cm, you should choose size M. A sweater in size 1000 would be approximately 100 cm long. M has a chest circumference of 120 cm and would in this case have a range of motion (positive ease) of 25 cm.

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories: 4 mm circular knitting needle (60, 80 and/or 100 cm), 3.5 mm circular knitting needle (40, 60, 80 and/or 100 cm), 3.5 and 4 mm double-pointed needles (unless knitting with the Magic Loop technique)
