Friday Tee (striped) - SUNDAY - Knitting set

The Friday Tee is knit from the top down in a broken rib pattern with raglan increases. The neckline is worked in ribbing and attached to the inside of the garment. Short rows are used to shape the neck. The sleeves and body are finished with ribbed cuffs.

Wash the gauge swatch before taking measurements from it – the broken rib pattern expands in the wash.

Size guide

Friday Tea should allow for freedom of movement ( positive ease). The garment should have a length of approximately 6-9 cm relative to your bust measurement. Sizes 34 (36) 38 (40) 42 (44) 46 fit a bust measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm. The finished top measurements are shown on the front of the garment. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to ensure you have chosen the correct size. For example, if your bust measurement is 90 cm (or the widest part of your torso), you should choose size S. A top in size S has a bust measurement of 96 cm and, in this example, would have 6 cm of positive ease .

The model shown wears size 34 and has a chest circumference of 82 cm and a height of 164 cm.

Gauge swatch_ 28 stitches x 44 rows in broken rib pattern on 3 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking

Note that the gauge swatch before washing measures approximately 35 stitches/10 cm.

Recommended needles: 3 mm circular knitting needles (40, 60, 80 and 100 cm), 2.5 mm circular knitting needles (40 cm), 3 mm double-pointed needles (unless knitting with the Magic Loop method)
