The model in the photo was knitted in "Peer Gynt" in Muskat melange (color 3070).

The Storm Sweater Man is worked from the top down in a textured pattern. First, the back is worked using short rows to shape the shoulders. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders and gathered at the front. The front and back pieces are placed on one needle under the armholes to form the body, which is worked straight down. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop method. A ribbing is worked at the neckline, folded to the inside, and then knitted in place. The Storm Sweater Man is worked in a textured pattern consisting of four distinct pattern segments.

First, knit a gauge swatch to determine the correct needle size for you – note that the gauge swatch must be accurate in both height and width to achieve the measurements indicated on the front of the garment. Feel free to follow the gauge chart in the pattern for the swatch.

The Storm Sweater Man should have approximately 10-15 cm of positive ease in the smallest sizes, decreasing in size with size. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest circumference of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124-132) 132-144 cm. The finished sweater measurements are shown on the title page. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 99 cm, you should choose size M. A sweater in size M... M has a chest circumference of 112 cm and would in this case have a range of motion (positive ease) of 13 cm.

Gauge swatch : 20 stitches x 32 rows in the textured pattern on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately . You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

Circular knitting needle 4 mm (40, 60, 80 and/or 100 cm), circular knitting needle 3.5 mm (40, 80 and/or 100 cm), double-pointed needles 4 mm and 3.5 mm
