The Holiday Pullunder is a chunky knit vest with a deep armhole, worked in stockinette stitch from the top down. First, the back is worked, followed by the shoulders and front, and finally the body. A two-part ribbed hem is worked at the bottom of the body, with the hem on the back being longer than on the front. Finally, ribbing is worked around the neckline and armholes, bound off using the Italian method, as this produces the neatest finish.

Knit a gauge swatch first before you begin the actual knitting. Note that you will be knitting with 3 strands of yarn simultaneously (2 strands of the thicker yarn, 1 strand of silk mohair).

Size guide

The holiday pullover should allow for freedom of movement ( positive ease). The size should be approximately 6 cm larger than your bust measurement. Sizes (36), 38, and (40) fit a bust measurement of (85-90), 90-95, and (95-100) cm. Take your own measurements before you start knitting to ensure you've chosen the correct size. For example, if your bust measurement is 90 cm (or the widest part of your torso), you should choose size 36, as this corresponds to a bust measurement of 96 cm.

If you want a slightly oversized vest, you can knit one size larger than usual.
