Ingrid Slipover - PEER GYNT - knitting set

The Ingrid Slipover is worked from the top down in a textured pattern. First, the back is worked, using short rows to shape the shoulders. Next, stitches are picked up for the shoulders and then collected at the front. The front and back pieces are placed on one needle under the armholes to form the body, which is then worked straight down. The armholes and neckline are finished with ribbing. The Ingrid Slipover is worked in a textured pattern consisting of three distinct pattern segments. A section of lace is worked between each of these segments.

First knit a gauge swatch to determine the correct needle size for you (intermediate level) – note that the gauge swatch must be correct in both height and width to achieve the measurements indicated on the front.

Size guide

The Ingrid Slipover should have approximately 20 cm of positive ease relative to your bust measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL fit a bust measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The finished slipover measurements are shown on the front of the pattern. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust measurement (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A slipover in size S has a bust measurement of 108 cm and would therefore have 18 cm of positive ease.
