The JIM Sweater is a boxy, striped pullover in the style of a classic marinière. A versatile piece that can be easily combined with other items and is not only suitable for cold days but also perfect for summer.

The JIM Sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down. First, the neckline ribbing is worked in rounds using a 2/2 rib pattern, and increases are worked for the shoulder shaping. For the armholes, the front and back pieces are worked separately in rows. Then, the stitches of the front and back pieces are joined together, and the work is resumed in rounds. The sweater finishes with a narrow ribbed cuff. Finally, stitches are picked up from the armholes, and the sleeves are knitted in a 2/2 rib pattern. Because the sweater is knitted from the top down, it is possible (and advisable) to try it on while knitting, allowing you to adjust the length of the body and sleeves to your liking.

The knitting kit includes an alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions.

The instructions use the following techniques: increases with left and right slant in knit and purl stitches, decreases with left and right slant.

To ensure the sweater has a relaxed fit, it should have approximately 15-20 cm of positive ease (room for movement) from the body. For example, if your chest measurement is 92 cm, you should knit a size M.

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories: Circular knitting needles 4.0 mm (40-50 cm and 80-100 cm) or circular knitting needles 3.5 mm (40-50 cm and 80-100 cm), depending on the gauge.
