The striped pullover is knitted from the bottom up using a 4x4 rib (knit 4, purl 4) ribbing pattern. The sleeves are knitted by picking up stitches along the armhole and working them on a shorter circular needle or double-pointed needles. A double ribbed ribbing is worked at the neckline. Therefore, almost no seaming is required to finish the striped pullover.

Since the striped sweater is knitted in a rib pattern, it will shrink slightly during knitting. To achieve the correct measurements and gauge, it's important to steam the sweater and/or wash it before wearing. You can iron the sweater over a damp towel (don't iron it directly unless you have a very good steam iron) while stretching it to the correct size (use a measuring tape! See measurements on page 1). The sweater will retain its shape if you iron it thoroughly, stretching it as you go, and then lay it flat to dry. If the sweater is washed, it should be laid flat to dry afterward while being stretched to the correct size while still damp.

The beige model in the photo was featured in "Sunday" in Camel (Fb 2542) and “Tynn Silk Mohair” in Lys beige (Fb 3021) knitted.

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

4 and 4.5 mm circular knitting needles (40 and 80 or 100 cm), 4 mm double-pointed needles
