The Louisiana Sweater is knitted from the top down with raglan increases on the yoke. The ribbed neckline is folded over and knitted on. The Louisiana Sweater impresses with its short, feminine cut. The sleeves finish with a close-fitting cuff. The cuffs on the sleeves and body can also be bound off using the Italian method.

Please make a gauge swatch first to ensure that the needle size gives the correct gauge before you start knitting the actual sweater.

The white model sweater was knitted in Børstet Alpakka by Sandnes Garn in the color Natural [1012].

The brown model sweater was knitted in Børstet Alpakka by Sandnes Garn in the color Brown Sugar [2543].

Size Guide

The Louisiana Sweater should have a positive ease of 15 cm relative to your bust circumference. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL fit a bust circumference of approx. 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are on the front (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). Measure your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) before you start knitting to determine the size that best suits you. For example, if your bust circumference is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A size S sweater has a bust circumference of 104 cm and would in this case have a positive ease of 14 cm.

Gauge:
10 stitches x 14 rows in stockinette stitch on 9 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

If you want to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately.
You can then simply return any unused balls of yarn to us.

For this kit, you will need the following accessories:
Circular needles 8 mm (40 and 80 or 100 cm),
Circular needles 9 mm (40, 60 and 80 or 100 cm)
