The LUCCA Hat is a summery hat in the style of a fedora. Crocheted from durable papyrus, it is the perfect companion for travel and, if required, offers optimal and very stylish sun protection. The hat is crocheted from top to bottom in spiral rounds, so no 'seam' is created. The typical shape with the crown folded down in the middle and curved inwards at the sides is achieved by steaming. The wide brim is shaped and stabilized with the help of hat wire.

The knitting kit contains an alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions.

Crown / height: 10 (10.5) cm (after shaping)
Brim / width: 6 (6.5) cm

Gauge: Single crochet in rounds with crochet hook 3.0 mm: 15 sts x 22 rows = approx. 10 x 10 cm (steamed and stretched). Crocheting is done rather 'tightly'; if you crochet loosely, you might want to choose a hook half a size smaller. A conventional gauge swatch is not necessarily required here.
