Marseille Sweater (striped) Women's - DOUBLE SUNDAY - Knitting Set

The Marseille Sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is worked in rows, while the shoulders are shaped with short rows for the ideal fit. The shoulders are then worked separately with short rows on a circular needle before being joined onto a single needle for the front. The front and back are joined in the round to form the body, which is then worked in rounds on a circular needle. The sleeves are worked from picked-up stitches around the armholes and are shaped using short rows. They are worked in rounds on a circular needle using double-pointed needles or a set of double-pointed needles. The sweater is made using the Magic Loop technique. The neckband is knitted last from picked-up stitches, folded in half, and knitted onto the inside. The Marseille Sweater is knitted with stripes, the placement of which is described in the instructions.

Size Guide

The Marseille Sweater should allow for freedom of movement ( positive ease). The sweater should have approximately 25 cm of positive ease in relation to your bust measurement. The cut is oversized. Sizes 34 (36) 38 (40) 42 (44) 46 fit a bust measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm. The finished sweater measurements are shown on the front of the pattern. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust measurement (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in size S has a bust measurement of 115 cm and would, in this case, have 25 cm of positive ease .

The model shown wears size 34 and has a chest circumference of 82 cm and a height of 1.64 m.
