Melange Sweater - SUNDAY knitting set

The melange sweater is worked from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is worked in rows, while the shoulders are shaped using short rows. Increases are made on the lower back. The shoulders are then worked separately in rows on a circular needle. These are then joined to form the front. The front and back are joined in the round, and the body is worked in rounds on a circular needle. The sleeves are worked in rounds on a circular needle using double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop method, starting with the stitches picked up around the armholes. The neckband is created from stitches picked up around the neckline. It is folded in half and worked onto the inside of the sweater. 

The melange sweater is made from 2 thin wool threads in contrasting colors, so that the melange effect stands out.

Size guide

The melange sweater should have approximately 15-20 cm of positive ease relative to your chest measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The finished sweater measurements can be found on the cover. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in size S has a chest measurement of 110 cm and would therefore have 20 cm of positive ease.
