The Mika Hood is a knitted hood with a small shawl collar, a practical alternative to a hat and scarf, and is quickly knitted thanks to thick needles.

It is worked from the top down and knitted entirely in stockinette stitch with a rolled edge. The hood is first worked in rounds, then in rows, and finally closed at the back center using the mattress stitch. For the shawl collar, stitches are picked up from the edge of the hood and knitted in stockinette stitch in rounds. Alternatively, the collar can be knitted in ribbing for a closer fit.

The following techniques are used in the instructions: left and right slanted decreases, short rows with wrapped stitches. All techniques used are explained in the instructions.

Size: One size (suitable for head circumference of approx. 54 - 62 cm)

For this set you will need the following accessories: 7.0 mm (60 cm, possibly 80 cm) circular knitting needles
