Moby Sweater - PEER GYNT - Knitting set

The Moby Sweater is worked from the top down in a textured and cable pattern. First, the back is worked, using short rows to shape the shoulders. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders and subsequently gathered at the front. The front and back pieces are then placed on one needle under the armholes to form the body, which is worked straight down. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop method. The neckband is folded in half and knitted onto the inside of the garment.

First knit a gauge swatch to determine the correct needle size for you – keep in mind that this can vary depending on the yarn. Wash your gauge swatch before measuring, as the textured pattern may expand in the wash.

Size guide

The Moby Sweater should have 15-20 cm of positive ease relative to your chest measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL fit a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The finished sweater measurements are on the front of the pattern. Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in size... S has a chest circumference of 106 cm and would in this case have a range of motion ( positive ease ) of 16 cm.
