Monday Balaclava Baby - SUNDAY - knitting set

The Monday Balaclava is worked in stockinette stitch from the top down. First, a square is worked at the top of the head. Then, stitches are picked up on both sides of the square, and decreases are made along the face opening. The balaclava is then worked straight down, with new stitches being picked up under the chin, so that the hat is worked in rounds before being divided into front and back pieces. Finally, a ribbed cuff is worked around the face opening, and an I-cord edge is finished along the bottom.

Gauge: 28 stitches x 38 rows in stockinette stitch on 3 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

Recommended needles : 3 mm circular knitting needles (40 and 60 cm), 2.5 mm circular knitting needles (40 cm), 3 mm double-pointed needles
