Natasha's weekend sweater has an oversized, boxy cut. The double-layered ribbing at the neckline is threaded with drawstrings, and there are small pockets on the front that are perfect for snuggling your hands into. They're ideal for holding small items. These details give the sweater a sporty, casual feel.
The sweater is knitted from the top down. You begin with the collar. The front and back are initially knitted separately in rows. After they are joined together, the body is then finished in rounds. Stitches are cast on for the sleeves.
Sizes:
XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL)
Measurements of the finished sweater in cm:
We recommend a range of motion of approximately 15-30 cm for the oversized look.
Gauge swatch:
10 x 10 cm = 21 sts x 29 rows knitted in stockinette stitch.
Wash and dry the gauge swatch before measuring it.
For this set you will need the following accessories:
4.0 mm circular knitting needles or the needle size you need to achieve the specified gauge, possibly double-pointed needles in the same size for the sleeves.
Possibly a 3.5 mm circular knitting needle for the cord
5 stitch markers
Needle holders or yarn scraps for holding stitches
Auxiliary needle of the same size (e.g. from a set of double-pointed needles) for the "three-needle bind off"
Wool needle for sewing in threads
Safety pin for threading the cord
