The NEVER ENDING STORY sweater is a classic, simple ribbed sweater with a V-neck. A basic piece that can be easily combined, especially in spring/summer, and belongs in every wardrobe.
The sweater is knitted from the top down in half-patent stitch, with the garter stitch side of the pattern being the front. First, the back is knitted, then the left and right front pieces. The back and front pieces are knitted flat up to the end of the armholes. Then, the two pieces are joined together to form the body, which is then worked in the round. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the side edges of the front and back pieces and also knitted in the round. Finally, the V-neck is finished with an I-cord edging.

The sweater should have approximately 15 cm of positive ease (room for movement) from the body. For example, if your chest circumference is 94 cm, you should knit size M.
The instructions use the following techniques: half-patent stitch with yarn overs, left and right slanted double increases, left and right slanted double decreases, cast-off using the 'Italian method', I-cord cast-off.
Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.
For this set you will need the following accessories:
- 3 mm circular knitting needle, 80-100 cm long for the cuffs on sleeves (using the magic loop method) and body and the I-cord edging of the neckline, possibly a 2.5 mm circular knitting needle for a tighter edging of the neckline.
- 3.5 mm circular knitting needles, 40-50 cm and 80-100 cm long
- Sewing needle, stitch marker
For sustainability reasons, these are NOT automatically included in the package.
