The NOMAD Hood is a knitted hood with a small scarf collar, a practical and cozy alternative to a hat and scarf.

It is knitted from top to bottom in half brioche stitch, with the "bubbly" side of the pattern being the front. Stitches are cast on using the 'Magic Cast-On' method, and the hood is initially knitted in rows using the 'Magic Loop Method'. To shape the upper hood, double increases are worked at regular intervals; the lower part of the hood is shaped with double increases and additional double decreases. After the hood is completed, the scarf collar is knitted in the round. Finally, the front opening is edged with a doubled rib knit band.

The knitting kit contains an alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions.

Size: Suitable for head circumference 51-55 cm (55-60) cm

Gauge: Half brioche stitch in rows with 3.5 mm needles: 22 sts x 44 rows = 10 x 10 cm (measured washed, un-stretched, and flat).

The instructions use the following techniques: Magic Cast-On, Magic Loop Method, half brioche stitch with yarn overs, left and right leaning double increases, left and right leaning double decreases

If you want to knit a larger size, you can order additional yarn balls separately. You can then easily return any unused yarn balls to us.
