The NOMAD Hood is a knitted hood with a small shawl collar, a practical and cozy alternative to a hat and scarf.

It is knitted from top to bottom in half-brioche, with the "bubbly" side of the pattern being the front. Stitches are cast on with the 'Magic Cast On' and the hood is initially knitted in rows using the 'Magic Loop Method'. To shape the top of the hood, double increases are worked at regular intervals; the bottom part of the hood is also shaped with double increases and additionally with double decreases. After the hood is completed, the shawl collar is knitted in the round. Finally, the front opening is edged with a double-layered ribbing.

The knitting kit contains an alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions.

Size: Suitable for head circumference 51-55 cm (55-60) cm

Gauge: Half brioche in rows with 3.5 mm needles: 22 sts x 44 rows = 10 x 10 cm (washed, unstretched and measured flat).

The instructions use the following techniques: Magic Cast-On, Magic Loop Method, Half Brioche with yarn overs, left and right-leaning double increases, left and right-leaning double decreases

If you want to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then easily return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set, you will need the following accessories:

Circular knitting needle 3.5 mm (80 cm)
Circular knitting needle 3.5 mm (50 - 60 cm)
Circular knitting needle 3.0 mm (50 - 60 cm)
