The knitting kit includes a yarn alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions, which has been approved by the designer.

The nominal collar is worked in garter stitch from the top down. First, the back is worked and shaped with short rows for a sloping shoulder line. Then, stitches are picked up for both fronts and worked before being joined to complete the front. All edges are finished with an i-cord edging. Finally, stitches are picked up to work the collar in double ribbing. This is then bound off using an Italian cast-off.

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

3 mm and 4 mm circular knitting needles (with an 80 cm or 100 cm cable) or a needle size that allows you to achieve the dimensions of the gauge swatch.
If you don't want to knit the ribbed collar using the Magic Loop method, you will need a set of 3 mm double-pointed needles (or the appropriate needle size to achieve the gauge).
1 stitch marker that can be closed/opened
Wool needle for sewing in threads
Leftover yarn/cable/knitting cords to hold stitches
