Stripes are always a good idea, so it was perfectly clear that the SAEND-T needed a sister design – a sweater. While the overall concept remains the same, the SAEND sweater features some additional design elements. This simple, shapely sweater incorporates some interesting techniques that give it a final touch. The construction is similar to the classic raglan style, but you work the increases not only on both sides of the typical raglan lines, but also along the garter stitch sections to create long triangles that extend to the hem. A similar triangular garter stitch detail is created along the entire length of the sleeve to the cuff. For a classic look, the collar and all cuffs are worked in 1x1 ribbing. Knitting this sweater is guaranteed to be anything but boring: even though a large portion is made up of stockinette stitch, the decreases and garter stitch sections, as well as the color changes every other round, ensure that it remains interesting without becoming overly complicated.

The following techniques are used in the instructions: Norwegian or classic cast-on, bind-off (standard method), cable cast-on, stockinette stitch, knitting in the round: knit all stitches, garter stitch, knitting in the round: 1 round knit stitches // 1 round purl stitches, 1x1 rib pattern, knitting in the round: (knit 1, purl 1) to the end, increases, decreases

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

3 or 4 mm circular knitting needles (needle sizes that allow you to achieve the gauge) with a cable length of at least 80 cm
Optional double-pointed needles in both sizes (if you don't want to knit the sleeves using the magic loop method)
Stitch markers, stitch holders or scrap yarn // Yarn needle
