The September hat is worked in rounds using a brioche stitch pattern, starting at the forehead and working upwards on circular needles. An Italian cast-on is used to create a clean edge. Decreases are worked at the top of the hat.

Note that when the patent stitch pattern is worked in the round, the patent stitch is worked as a knit stitch in every 2nd round and as a purl stitch in every other round.

The brown September hat is knitted in Peer Gynt by Sandnes Garn in the color Melombrun melert [2652].

Sizes: Fits a head circumference of 53-55 (55-58) cm

Gauge swatch:
12 stitches x 38 rows in patent stitch on 4.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm (take measurements from the gauge swatch while gently stretching the hat to the side)

If you would like to knit in a larger size, you can purchase additional yarn separately.
Order extra balls of yarn. You can then use the unused balls of yarn.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

Circular knitting needle 4.5 mm (40 cm),
Double-pointed needles 4.5 mm (unless knitting with the Magic Loop method)
