The September Sweater is knitted from the top down in a brioche stitch. First, the back is worked by picking up stitches at the neck, which are then worked in rows with increases on both sides. Next, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are worked separately before being joined to form the front. The front and back pieces meet under the armholes to form the body, which is worked in the round on a circular needle. The sleeves are then picked up around the armholes using a short circular needle and worked in the round with decreases. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline for the ribbing. This ribbing is folded in half and worked on the inside. This means the September Sweater requires almost no seaming.

The white September sweater is in “Tynn Silk Mohair” “ knitted in natural (color 1012).

The grey September sweater is in “Tynn Silk Mohair” “ knitted in Lys grå melange (Fb 1022).

Gauge swatch: 12 stitches x 38 rows in patent stitch on 5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm (remember that 38 rows in patent stitch count as 19 knit stitches)

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

5 mm circular knitting needle (40, 60, 80 and/or 100 cm), 4.5 mm circular knitting needle (80 or 100 cm), 3.5 mm circular knitting needle (40 cm), 4.5 mm double-pointed needles
