The Setesdalkofte Baby by Sandnes Garn is a new edition of a classic. The cute baby jacket with a traditional Setesdal pattern is a special eye-catcher and can be knitted either with or without a pattern in the lower section.
It can be worked top-down or bottom-up.
When knitting top-down, the front and back pieces are knitted in rows, joined under the arms, and the body is finished in rounds. Then, the front and sleeves are cut open, the sleeves are knitted on, and finally, the button band and neckband are worked.
When knitting bottom-up, you start with the body, knit the cuffs and steek, work the body in rounds, and then cut open the front and sleeves. After that, the sleeves are knitted on, and the button band and neckband are completed.
The model in the photo was knitted in "Babyull Lanett" main color in " Mørk brun 3082" and pattern color "Mandel 2511".
