The Stockholm Sweater Junior is knitted in stockinette stitch from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is knitted, then stitches are picked up along the cast-on edge for the shoulders. The shoulders are worked separately using short rows to create a gusset. The front and back are gathered under the arm and worked in the round on circular needles. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armholes and then worked in the round using double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop method. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline, where a ribbed edge is worked, folded to the wrong side, and sewn in place. The Stockholm Sweater Junior does not require any finishing, except for the folded neckline.

The blue Stockholm Sweater is knitted in “Tynn Silk Mohair” in Jolly blue (color 6046).

First, make a gauge swatch to determine the correct needle size.

Gauge: 21 stitches x 28 rows in stockinette stitch on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

3.5 and 4 mm circular knitting needles (60 and 80 cm), 3 mm circular knitting needle (40 cm), 3.5 and 4 mm double-pointed needles
