Stockholm Sweater V-Neck - TYNN SILK MOHAIR - Knitting Kit

The Stockholm Sweater V-neck is knitted in stockinette stitch from top to bottom with double thread Knitted in silk and mohair. First, the upper part of the back is worked, then stitches are picked up along the cast-on edge for the shoulders. The shoulders are worked separately using short rows to create a gusset. The front and back are gathered under the armhole and worked in rounds on circular needles. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armholes and then worked with double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop The neckline is knitted in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline to create the ribbing edge, using decorative decreases on the right-side rows and corresponding increases on the wrong-side rows. This neckline is then folded to the inside and sewn. The Stockholm Sweater V-neck does not require any further sewing, except for the folded-over neck ribbing.

The Stockholm Sweater V-neck should allow for freedom of movement ( positive ease). The sweater should be approximately 15 cm larger than your chest measurement (i.e., the sweater should be 15 cm wider than your chest measurement). Sizes 34 (36), 38 (40), 42 (44), 46 (48), and 50 correspond to a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90), 90-95 (95-100), 100-110 (110-120), 120-130 (130-140), and 140-150 cm. Take your own measurements before you start knitting to ensure you've chosen the correct size. For example, if your chest measurement is 90 cm (or the widest part of your torso), you should choose size 36, as the chest measurement in that size is 105 cm. This will give you 15 cm of extra room.

Note that decreases are worked in the body, so the sweater will fit approximately 5 cm tighter at the hips than at the bust. If you prefer the sweater to fit snugly at the bottom, you can omit the decreases.
