The Studio Sweater is the ideal knitting base for the motif of your choice.

This knitting kit exclusively contains the yarn for the background color of your sweater. Choose your desired motif from the product photos and add 1-2 additional balls of The Merry Merino 140 GOTS for each color of your motif to your shopping cart 🧶

Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-105 (105-115) 115-125 cm.

The Studio Sweater is oversized and has approx. 20-25cm positive ease.

Bust circumference of the finished sweater: approx. 105 (110) 115 (120) 125 (130) 145 cm

Length of the finished sweater: 47 (47) 48 (49) 50 (51) 52 cm (measured center back)

The sweater is knitted from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is knitted in rows, while simultaneously shaping the shoulder slope with increases. Then new stitches are cast on for the shoulders and knitted in rows. The stitches of both shoulders are then joined at the front. The front and back can either be knitted separately to the bottom (ideal for motif knitting using the Intarsia method) or collected on a circular needle and knitted in the round. For the sleeves, new stitches are picked up from the armholes and knitted in the round. For the collar, new stitches are picked up from the neckline, knitted in twisted rib in the round, folded over, and sewn to the inside.

10 x 10 cm = 21 sts x 33 rows in stockinette stitch with 4mm needles (measured after washing & drying, lightly stretched).

What techniques should you master or look at beforehand: normal cast on, knit and purl stitches, right and left leaning increases, picking up stitches, right and left twisted stitches, possibly mattress stitch, possibly intarsia in rows, possibly duplicate stitch

For this set, you will need the following accessories:

4.0 mm circular knitting needles (80 & 40cm),

3.5 mm circular knitting needles (80 & 40cm),

possibly 3.5 & 4.0 mm double-pointed needles,

3.0mm circular knitting needles (40cm)
