Sunday Balaclava Baby - DOUBLE SUNDAY - knitting set

The Sunday Balaclava Baby is worked from the top down in double ribbing, transitioning into a circular yoke with increases at the neck. First, a square is knitted at the top of the head. Then, stitches are picked up on all sides of this square, and decreases are worked along the face opening. The balaclava is then knitted straight down before being joined under the chin and worked in rounds with increases in ribbing.

Finally, a ribbed cuff is worked around the face.

Sizes: 1-3 (3-6) months

Fits a head circumference of: 38-40 (40-43) cm                  

Gauge swatch_ 26 stitches x 30 rows in double rib pattern (knit 2, purl 2) on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing

Recommended needles: Circular knitting needles 4 mm (40 and 60 cm), circular knitting needles 3.5 mm (40 cm), double-pointed needles 4 mm
