Sunday Balaclava Children - DOUBLE SUNDAY - Knitting Set

The Sunday Balaclava is worked from the top down in double ribbing, transitioning into a circular yoke at the neck in ribbing with increases. First, a square is knitted at the top of the head. Then, stitches are picked up on all sides of the square, and the balaclava is worked downwards, where it is joined in the round under the chin and finished in ribbing with increases. A ribbed cuff is then worked around the face.

Sizes: 6 months-1 year (1-2 years) 2-6 years

Fits head circumferences of: 43-46 (46-49) 49-54 cm                    

Gauge: 26 stitches x 30 rows in double rib pattern (knit 2, purl 2) on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing

Recommended needles: 4 mm circular knitting needle (40, 60 and/or 80 cm), 3.5 mm circular knitting needle (40 cm)
