The LANINA sweater, from the knitting designer Joél Joél is a simple, boxy-style sweater with dropped shoulders that offers a relaxed and airy fit and comfortable wear. This sweater is knit in one piece from the top down. The stitches are cast on at the shoulders with a provisional cast-on and then worked in rows to the armholes. At the shoulders, stitches are picked up for the front, the neckline is worked in rows, and this is also continued to the armholes. A simple, regular stitch pattern is incorporated into the front and back, and the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch.

From the armholes, the front and back pieces are joined and knitted in rounds until the hem is reached. The hem is finished separately, and the back hem is worked slightly longer to create a sporty slit at the side, which further emphasizes the comfortable fit of this sweater.

Next, the stitches for the sleeve are picked up and knitted in rounds.
