The RIVIERA Bag is a summery bag with a textured pattern - perfect as a beach bag, for shopping at the market, or for a leisurely stroll along the Riviera ;-)

The bag has an oval base and is crocheted in rounds. The bottom of the bag is made with single crochet stitches and the body with a textured pattern of crossed, deep-stitched stitches. You can choose between a raffia version and a cotton version. The raffia version is more dimensionally stable and robust, but the material is a bit more "strenuous" to work with. The cotton bag is not quite as stable or "self-standing" and is more like a pouch, but it is more pleasant to crochet. The instructions for the cotton version start on page 8. The knitting kit contains an alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions.

Size: One Size
Width: approx. 34-36 cm, Height: approx. 27 cm, Depth: approx. 15-17 cm

Gauge: Single crochet with hook size 4.0 mm: 14 stitches x 13 - 15 rows = approx. 10 x 10 cm (slightly stretched).
Crochet is done rather 'tightly'; if you crochet loosely, you should choose a hook size half a size smaller.

The instructions use the following techniques:

Chain stitches, single crochet stitches, double crochet stitches, slip stitches

If you want to knit a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then return any unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set, you will need the following accessories:
