The braided pattern impresses with its simplicity: a three-dimensional structure is created using only knit and purl stitches.
After just a few rows, the pattern becomes ingrained and can be knitted in a relaxed manner, almost like in meditation.

The ELMA Scarf is worked from tip to tip. This makes it suitable for yarn of any weight and with any gauge.
The example shown is knitted from a high-quality yarn that displays an exact stitch pattern and particularly emphasizes the structure.
The integrated I-cord edges ensure a clean finish.

The garment in the photo was knitted in Cardiff Cashmere Classic in 303.

Size:
The ELMA scarf is designed to be wrapped twice around the neck and knotted.
You can adjust the size as you wish and knit the shawl in any imaginable yarn weight, gauge and suitable needle size.

Length of the finished cloth: 145 cm / Width: 18 cm

Gauge swatch :
23 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm in the braid pattern, measured after washing and blocking

The following techniques are used in the instructions:

Magic Circle attack
Cast off (6 sts in the round)
Cord edge edge (Faux I-Cord)

In the instructions, the first and last 3 stitches of each row are referred to as "3 RDM".

If you would like to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately.
You can simply send the unused balls of yarn back to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

Circular knitting needles, matching your yarn
Example: 3.5–4 mm with a rope length of at least 60 cm
