The FAKE SWEATER Scarf is a simple scarf that is draped over the shoulders and loosely knotted in the front, similar to a sweater worn over the shoulders – hence the name. The scarf is easy to knit and a perfect beginner project.

The FAKE SWEATER Scarf is knitted in one piece, working in rows. First, the back is worked in stockinette stitch with a half-patent rib ribbing. Then the work is divided; the right and left "sleeves" are knitted separately and also finished with a half-patent rib ribbing.

Techniques used: cross cast-on, half-patent with yarn overs, cast-off as an I-cord, left and right inclined decreases.
