The Matthew Sweater from Sandnes Garn's 2501 collection is a children's zip-up sweater. First, the back piece is knitted up to under the sleeves. Then, stitches are picked up for the two front pieces, and increases are worked at the neck, while short rows ensure a good fit.
Under the sleeves, all parts are joined, and the body is knitted in the round. The sleeves are also worked in the round from picked-up stitches. For the collar, stitches are picked up from the neck and extended at the front with short rows. Additionally, a placket for the zipper is knitted, which is sewn in at the end.
The green model in the photo was knitted in "DOUBLE SUNDAY" in "Dyp petrol 7281".
The pink model in the photo was knitted in "DUO" in "Ballet tutu 3509".
