The MESH Sweater is a simple, boxy-cut sweater with a lace pattern. In summer, it can be worn loosely over a top made of cotton, and in winter, over a long-sleeved shirt or blouse made of soft virgin wool.

The sweater is knitted top-down in a lace pattern. First, the back panel is knitted with increases for the shoulder shaping, then the left and right front panels. The back and front panels are knitted in rows until the end of the armholes. Then, both parts are joined for the body and worked in the round. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the side edges of the front and back panels and also knitted in the round. Finally, the neckline is bordered with a ribbed cuff.

The sweater should have a positive ease of approx. 15 cm to the body. If you like it very loose and oversized, you can plan for a little more positive ease. For example, at a height of 1.76 m and a bust circumference of 88 cm, I wear the light sweater here in size M and the dark sweater with a little less positive ease in size S.

Gauge: Lace pattern in rows with 4.5 mm needles: 14 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm, measured after washing, lightly stretched and laid flat. If necessary, choose a different needle size to adjust the gauge.

The pattern uses the following techniques: Lace pattern, increasing stitches (kfb/kbf), left and right leaning decreases, binding off with the 'Italian method'.

If you want to knit a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return any unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set, you will need the following accessories:
Circular knitting needles 4.5 mm / 40 - 50 cm and 80 - 100 cm.
Circular knitting needles 3.5 mm / 80 - 100 cm for the ribbing on the body, 40 - 50 cm for the ribbing on the neckline and sleeves.
