The Moonbow Cardigan is an airy oversized cardigan with a tie closure. It is knitted with double-stranded alpaca-silk yarn for a particularly light, flowing texture. It is worked seamlessly in one piece and top-down: You start at the upper back, shape the front pieces directly, join all parts to the body, and then knit to the desired length. The sleeves are knitted directly onto the garment – without any seaming.

A modern, flexible project that can be individually adapted. Whether you knit it in soft pastel tones, bold colors, or neutral shades – the Moonbow looks its best in every color, like a gentle rainbow in the moonlight.

The knitting kit contains an alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions.

Sizes: 2XS (XS, S, M) (L, XL, 2XL) (3XL, 4XL, 5XL)

suitable for a bust circumference (body measurement) of 75–80 (80–85, 85–90, 90–95) (95–100, 100–110, 110–120) (120–130, 130–140, 140–150) cm

The cardigan is designed for a positive ease of 16–30 cm.

Size M is shown with a bust circumference of 90 cm (positive ease approx. 24 cm).

Measurements of the finished cardigan (measured after washing)

Gauge: 13 stitches and 20 rows with 6 mm needles, double-stranded, stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm (measured after washing and drying the swatch)

If you wish to knit a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately.

You can then simply return any unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set, you will need the following accessories:

6 mm circular knitting needles (40 cm or double-pointed needles and 80–100 cm)
Stitch markers
Stitch holders or waste yarn for holding stitches
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Scissors & measuring tape
