Classic mittens - are known to keep hands warmest and are the perfect companions for cold days.

The OLE Mittens are knitted in half-brioche with yarn overs from bottom to top. To prevent the half-brioche pattern from being too loose, a relatively thin needle size of 3.0 mm is used. After the rib cuff, a thumb gusset is incorporated using left and right leaning increases, ensuring a good fit and enough freedom of movement. The tip of the gloves is shaped with left and right leaning double decreases.

Techniques used: Italian cast-on (optional), half-brioche with yarn overs, left and right leaning increases, left and right leaning double decreases.

Glove size: (5-6) 6.5-7.5 (8-8.5)
Hand circumference: 16-17 (18-20) 21-22 cm

The hand circumference is measured with a tape measure. It is measured at the widest part of the hand, without including the thumb.

Gauge: In half-brioche: 23 sts x 50 rows = 10 x 10 cm (washed and measured lying flat). When counting rows, note that due to the half-brioche pattern, only 1 stitch appears for every 2 rows knitted.

The instructions use the following techniques: Italian cast-on (optional), half-brioche with yarn overs, left and right leaning increases, left and right leaning double decreases.

If you want to knit a larger size, you can order additional yarn balls separately. You can then simply return any unused yarn balls to us.
