The knitting kit contains an alternative to the original yarn specified in the instructions.

The ROBIN Sweater is a loose-fitting pullover with wide batwing sleeves. It is light, has a beautiful drape, and can be ideally combined with high-waisted pants and skirts.

The pullover is knitted seamlessly from top to bottom. Initially, it is worked in rows, and increases are made simultaneously to shape the V-neck and sleeves. After completing the V-neck, it is worked in the round, and increases for the batwing sleeves are continued. For the armholes, the front and back pieces are then worked separately in back and forth rows. Afterwards, the stitches are rejoined, and it is worked in the round, with centered, double decreases worked in each round for the lower sleeve shaping. The pullover ends with a narrow ribbed cuff. For the long sleeve cuffs, stitches are picked up from the side edges of the front and back pieces and knitted in the round in a rib pattern.

The wide batwing sleeves of the pullover automatically provide a lot of freedom of movement. Therefore, specifying a recommended positive ease is not necessary.

Gauge: Stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles: 23 sts x 34-35 rows = 10 x 10 cm, measured after washing. If necessary, choose a different needle size to adjust the gauge.

The following techniques are used in the instructions: left and right leaning increases, centered double decreases, picking up stitches from side edges, binding off with the 'Italian Method'

If you want to knit a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return any unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set, you will need the following accessories:
Circular needles 3.5 mm / 80 cm and 100-120 cm,
Circular needles 3.0 mm / 80-100 cm for the neckline and body ribbing,
Double-pointed needles 3.0 mm for the sleeve cuffs (not necessary if using the 'Magic Loop Method').
Crochet hook 3.5 mm and elastic thread or thin elastic band for the neckline ribbing
