The trousers are knitted in rounds from the top down. The yarn of the color not currently being knitted is carried along, so that less sewing is required at the end.

First, a ribbing for the elastic band is knitted. Before the increases begin, short rows are worked to create more room for the bottom.
After the knitted piece has been divided into two parts, the trouser legs are knitted.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (fits waist circumference 62-66 (67-72) 73-78 (79-84) 85-90 cm)

The amount of yarn required depends on the length of the knitted trouser legs. The specified amount of yarn was sufficient for the test knitters to achieve an inseam of approximately 75 cm.

The Lottapants have a loose, comfortable fit with straight legs. They sit at navel level, but can also be worn high-waisted thanks to the elastic waistband.
The stretchiness of the wool also allows for flexibility in sizing: If you want your pants to fit closer to your body, choose one size smaller. If you prefer a looser fit, choose one size larger.

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

5 mm knitting needles, 60 cm and 80 cm long, 4 cm thick elastic band, approximately as long as your waist circumference at the level of the navel + 3 cm

For sustainability reasons, these are NOT automatically included in the package.
