The Twist Tank Top is a figure-hugging knitted top with "twisted" straps and cutouts on the sides, which are knitted using the Verona Twist technique.

The instructions include a detailed video tutorial on the Verona Twist technique.

This design can be worn over another top as a vest or on its own as a summer top. It is knitted from the top down. First, stitches are cast on for the neck and the upper part of the back is worked in rows. Then, the shoulders are picked up along the cast-on edge and worked separately in rows before being joined to form the front.  The front and back are then joined to the torso using the Verona Twist technique. Depending on your preference, the top can be finished as a cropped version at the waist or as a longer version at the hips. Waist and hip shaping can also be easily adjusted upon request, using the enclosed instructions.  They can be adapted to the wearer's own body measurements.

A - Chest circumference of the finished top: approx. 74 (76) 79 (84) 90 (95) 100 cm

B - Waist circumference of the finished top: approx. 63 (65) 69 (74) 79 (85) 90 cm (the circumference can easily be adjusted to your own waist circumference within the instructions.)

C - Hip circumference of the finished top: approx. 84 (86) 90 (95) 100 (105) 110 cm (the circumference can easily be adjusted to your own hip circumference within the instructions.)

Finished top length: The Twist Tank Top can be knitted in either a cropped or a longer version. The exact length of your top can easily be adjusted to your torso length within the pattern.

Standard size:

Cropped version: approx. 45 cm

Long version: approx. 60 cm

If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size.

Gauge: 10x10 cm = 23 sts x approx. 36 rows in stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles . Measured after washing and drying, slightly blocked.
