The YPS top is a simple summer top, easy to style and combine, either worn alone as a top or layered over a long-sleeved shirt/skirt as a slipover. The name Yps stands for Ypsilon because its design is reminiscent of the Y shape.
The construction makes this top special: After a provisional cast-on, you start with the upper back and short rows. Then the shoulders are worked individually in garter stitch with a corded edge and joined together. After more short rows, you join to work in the round and continue knitting the top from the top down, finishing with a split hem (including a corded edge).

Size information serves as a guide; it is best to choose the size that is 0-5 cm larger than the measured chest circumference.

The following techniques are used in the instructions: Stockinette stitch, garter stitch, garter stitch rib, short rows with double stitches as turning stitches, corded edge, provisional cast-on

Should you wish to knit in a larger size, you can order additional balls of yarn separately. You can then simply return the unused balls of yarn to us.

For this set you will need the following accessories:

Circular knitting needles that allow you to achieve the gauge (washed and blocked): 4.5 mm needles with a cable length of at least 80 cm are recommended (longer depending on the circumference).
Stitch markers (2) / Stitch holders or yarn scraps / Yarn needle
